Entebbe NRM Leadership Pledges to Work with RDC’s Office to Promote Gov’t Programs

The Entebbe Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Hakim Kirigwa has called upon the National Resistance Movement (NRM) leaders of Entebbe Municipality in Wakiso District to spearhead the monitoring of Government programs in their area.

“Embrace government programs as they are designed to help uplift people’s lives from poverty. Everyone who qualifies for these programs should be served equally and we should emphasize the importance of equal opportunity for all Ugandans. You, the NRM leaders at the grassroots and various levels, should monitor government projects to see to it that there is effective service delivery for the people. Notify the authorities in case there is shoddy work being done’’, said Kirigwa.

Kirigwa made the remark on Friday while meeting the Entebbe Municipality NRM Executive Committee Members at his office in Entebbe, where he highlighted the significance of the NRM party manifesto, urging grassroot leaders to ensure its implementation in the best way possible.

In a powerful address to NRM leaders, Kirigwa underlined the magnitude of effective service delivery and the implementation of the NRM party manifesto and called upon party leaders to actively monitor government projects and ensure their proper execution.

During his address, the Commissioner also reminded NRM leaders about the importance of voting for party flag bearers during elections. She cautioned against prioritizing personal relationships over party loyalty, stating, “Don’t just vote for people because they are your friends and relatives; always prioritize the position of the NRM party during elections, vote for party flag bearers. Why should you vote for an opposition candidate when you belong to the NRM? That is self-defeating.

On behalf of the executive members, Stephen Kabuye the chairperson reminded NRM leaders about the importance of voting for party flag bearers during elections. He cautioned against prioritizing personal relationships over party loyalty.
