The semifinal showdown of the prestigious Stanbic Entebbe Match Play over the weekend, thrilled spectators, as the two competing duos displayed exceptional skills, in addition to the other twists and turns both on and off the course at Entebbe Golf Club.

Match One:
Media entrepreneur Kin Kariisa and Derick Bassabose faced a formidable challenge against the ‘slow but sure’ duo of Picole Lukyamuzi and Henry Nsubuga.
However, the match concluded with Lukyamuzi and Nsubuga emerging victorious with a 5/4 win, leaving Kariisa and Bassabose to reflect on what could have been after this tough encounter. The winning pair took control early, building momentum as early as the 15th hole and never looking back.
Reflecting on the high level of competition on display Kariisa said, “Henry and Picole are a dangerous duo. They played excellent golf today and proved they’re a force to reckon with. We gave it our all, but they were simply better,”
Match Two:
The excitement continued as the celebrated couple, Evelyne Atukunda and Ellis Katwebaze, faced an unexpected last minute setback.
Atukunda had to bow out due to urgent commitments abroad. Undeterred, Katwebaze took on the challenge single-handedly, competing against the energetic pairing of Steven Kitamirike and Charles Kabunga who showed no mercy as they hammered him 3/1.
