St Kizito High School Namugongo, a christian founded school named after the youngest christian martyr Kizito Omuto once again proved to be one of the country’s most dependable secondary schools after they excelled in the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams just as has been the case in the previous couple of years.

With results for the 2024 UCE released on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at State Lodge, Nakasero, Kampala, the Namugongo based school, St,Kizito has emerged as a beacon of academic excellence, showcasing remarkable achievement in the UCE under the newly introduced Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

Shortly after the UCE results were made public, the head teacher of the school, Mr. Ezekiel Kazibwe, told our reporter that the school had achieved these greatest results due to the multi- stakeholder’s efforts .
Kazibwe linked high performance to students’ discipline, God-fearing, and teamwork among the staff and named some of the best students; Ssemujju Terry, Kwagala Esther,Bufambu Emmanuel, Ayella Reagan, Muwanguzi Arthur, Ntudde Babrah ,revealing that all students passed in result 1.

“We are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements,” said Kazibwe. “Their exceptional performance is a testament to their resilience and determination, as well as the unwavering support of our dedicated teachers and parents.”
Over the last 25 years since its establishment in 1998, St. Kizito High School Namugongo has maintained its position as a centre of academic excellence in Wakiso district, Kira Municipality, Central Uganda and the entire nation.
While striving to make secondary education accessible to the community and the nation, St. Kizito High School Namugongo consistently works to provide a truly holistic well rounded equality education enabling the students to unleash their full potential and fit in the highly competitive education environment.
The school is also open to learners of other religious convictions since they provide a non-discriminatory approach.
It should be remembered that early this year ,President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan recognized the 2025 winners of the Zayed Sustainability Prize , with Uganda proudly being represented by St Kizito High School Namugongo after it emerged among the three finalists in sub-Saharan Africa.
