RDC Kirigwa, Entebbe Mayor Break Ground for Construction of Classroom Blocks, Youth Center, Health Centers
Entebbe Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Mr Hakim Kirigwa and the Mayor of Entebbe Municipality Fabrice Brad Rulinda on Wednesday held the groundbreaking ceremony for the renovation of two Classroom Blocks at Chadwick Namate Primary School located in Division B, Entebbe Municipality.
The leaders also broke the ground for the construction of a Youth Facility Center, Paving of Katabi Health Center III and renovation of Kigungu Maternity Ward at Kigungu Health Center III.
Speaking to stakeholders during the ground breaking, RDC Kirigwa said Uganda government led by President Yoweri Museveni has put emphasis on interests of the People by enhancing peace, wealth creation, jobs, access to affordable and quality health, education, infrastructure development among other commitments, urging the relevant implementers of government projects to always be accountable and deliver intended services.
‘’Once these health facilities are fully refurbished , I encourage our resident especially the mothers and the general public in the area to fully utilize the facility to boost antenatal services because no woman should be found delivering from home when our beloved government has injected all this money to ensure that we access services’’, Kirigwa said.
On his part, Fabrice Rulinda , the Entebbe Municipality mayor Retired said the construction and renovation of schools and health facilities in Entebbe is a big milestone towards the enhancement of health and education service delivery in the area.
Entebbe is a city which is located on Lake Victoria peninsula, approximately 36 kilometres southwest of the Ugandan capital city, Kampala. Entebbe was once the seat of government for the Protectorate of Uganda prior to independence, in 1962. The city is the location of Entebbe International Airport, Uganda’s largest commercial and military airport.
