On 23 August 2025, Whisper’s Magical Children’s Hospital and Maternity officially opened its doors to patients in Kyanja, Kampala district, Nakawa Division , a setting designed especially for 0-13 year olds and their families.

Whisper’s Magical Children’s Hospital Kyanja branch is an ambitious project, the product of many years of reflection, which embodies a strong commitment to offer state-of-the-art multidisciplinary care, adapted to each stage of the development of the child in Kampala .
The modern and welcoming setting will benefit both patients and staff not only in Kyanja but the whole Kampala Metropolitan area.

While commissioning the facility , Dr. Emem Offong, a medical director at Whisper’s Magical Children’s Hospital and Maternity said opening this facility marks a major advancement in pediatrics services for Kampala metropolitan area.
After a procession from Kyanja to Kisasi town , hospital leadership, staff, and guests gathered for an opening ceremony and facility tour, providing an inside look at the hospital’s latest advancements in pediatrics care.

Dr. Emem emphasized the hospital’s commitment to innovation: “Whisper’s Magical Children’s Hospital and Maternity Kyanja represents the future of pediatrics care in Kampala metropolitan. It’s a space where advanced medicine and compassionate care come together, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our children and mothers. This latest advancement reflects our vision to bring life-saving care closer to home, no matter where a child takes their first breath. Thank you to the partners and directors who made this moment possible’’.

Whisper’s Magical Children’s Hospital and Maternity Kyanja promises to provide much-needed healthcare services to the residents of Kampala and will help to reduce the need for medical referrals to other countries.

The opening of the hospital in Kyanja was hailed by leaders as a sign of progress in the devolution of healthcare services.

Priscilla Oba , the team leader reception at Whispers hospital Jinja and Kampala said this is the basic children’s hospital of its kind in Uganda , providing first-class medical care for children up to 13 years of age offering consultation, urinalysis, blood test and malaria test.
They also also provide maternity/gynaecology services aiming to be the best place for parents to have their baby with a number of services, and by popular demand, including consultations for adults, a fertility clinic and sonography (A wide range of scans including abdominal, echocardiograms, transcranial, breast and prostate).
