KCB East Africa Golf Tour Uganda Leg Celebrates Success

KCB Bank hosted the Uganda leg of the KCB East Africa Golf Tour, themed “Roar on the Green,” at the Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa. The event drew golf enthusiasts from the region for an exciting day of competition.

Edgar Byamah, Managing Director of KCB Bank Uganda, praised the golfers and expressed gratitude to all participants. “Some evenings shine with more than just twilight, and tonight is one of them,” he said. “On behalf of KCB Bank Uganda, I thank all golfers who participated in today’s tournament. The best team overall was On The Money, made up of Gloria Nanyonga, Dipak Patel, Nic Snyman, and Mathew Nviiri. They put together an impressive score of 111 points, thanks to strong drives, accurate shots, and steady putting that kept them in the lead throughout the day.

Among the KCB staff, Agnes Mayanja claimed the top spot as the best performer. She played a smart game, making the right moves at the right time and sinking some important putts to secure her well-deserved win. Her performance earned her all the applause and recognition she deserved.

The longest drive of the day was powerfully delivered by Michael Koima, while Judith Komugisha claimed the longest drive in the ladies’ category. Josephine Njoroge won the nearest to the pin contest for the women, with Ernest Rukundo taking the men’s nearest-to-the-pin title. The overall winners were Enoch Nuwagaba, who scored an impressive 39 points in the men’s category, and Florence Namara, who led the women’s field with 32 points.

Prize winners were rewarded with exciting prizes, including a fully paid trip to Nairobi for the KCB East Africa Golf Tour grand finale, ICEA Lion Clubsman insurance policies, duffle bags, golf balls, trolleys, and Kenya Airways flight tickets..
