NCBA Bank Uganda today officially launched the Uganda leg of the 2026 NCBA Golf Series at Uganda Golf Club, reaffirming its commitment to growing the sport of golf, nurturing emerging talent, and creating opportunities for golfers across the region.

Now in its fourth year, the NCBA Golf Series has evolved into East Africa’s premier amateur golf tournament, bringing together golfers from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda in a competitive circuit that continues to raise the profile of the sport across the region.
The launch follows a successful season opening in Kenya and sets the stage for an exciting series of qualifiers in Uganda, where golfers will compete for a coveted place at the regional Grand Finale scheduled for November 2026.
Speaking at the launch, NCBA Bank Uganda Executive Director, Julius Konyani said the tournament reflects the bank’s broader commitment to investing in communities and creating platforms that empower individuals to achieve their full potential.
“The NCBA Golf Series has become much more than a golf tournament. It is a platform that discovers, nurtures, and celebrates talent while promoting values such as focus, resilience, and excellence. Through this series, we are demonstrating our commitment to supporting sports development and creating opportunities that positively impact communities across East Africa,” said Julius Konyani, Executive Director of, NCBA Bank Uganda.
The Uganda leg of the tournament will comprise two qualifying events, beginning with the first qualifier at Uganda Golf Club on Saturday, 13 June 2026, followed by a second qualifier at Entebbe Club on 3 October 2026. The qualifiers will attract some of Uganda’s leading amateur golfers alongside rising talents seeking a place among the region’s best.
