Academic giant , Mpoma School satellite Campus has once again proved to be one of the best Secondary Schools in Uganda after excelling in the 2025 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams just as has been the case in the previous years since it started.

With results for the 2025 UCE released on Friday 13th February 2026 at State Lodge, Nakasero, Kampala, Mukono based Mpoma School satellite Campus emerged as a beacon of academic excellence, showcasing remarkable achievement in the UCE under the newly introduced Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

Shortly after the UCE results were made public, the head teacher of the school, Ms. Eron Kabaale, told our reporter that the school achieved these greatest results due to the multi- stakeholder’s efforts.

“We are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements,” said Kabaale. “Their exceptional performance is a testament to their resilience and determination, as well as the unwavering support of our dedicated teachers and parents.”

She congratulated candidates, parents, and teachers on achieving this pass rate in the 2025 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams.

Stakeholders linked high performance to students’ discipline, God-fearing, and teamwork among the staff,  praising the candidates for their exceptional performance, saying that they are proud of them for their outstanding achievement.

The management thanked the parents and teachers for their support and guidance throughout the academic year of 2025 promising to continue providing quality education to students.

Located in Mukono , Kabaale said that the school is now open to learners ready to join advanced level (A ‘Level) starting with the 2026 academic year.

Since its establishment , Mpoma School satellite Campus  has maintained its position as a centre of academic excellence in Mukono district, and Uganda at large.

While striving to make secondary education accessible to the community and the nation, Mpoma School satellite Campus consistently works to provide a truly holistic well rounded equality education enabling the students to unleash their full potential and fit in the highly competitive education environment.

The Uganda National Examinations Board [ UNEB ] announced an improvement in performance in the 2025 Uganda Certificate of Education examinations [UCE], with 99.69 percent of candidates qualifying for the award of the UCE certificate.

According to the results  announced at Nakasero State Lodge in Kampala on Friday,  total of 428,628 candidates representing 99.69 percent of those who sat have qualified for the UCE certificate. According to UNEB data, 432,163 candidates from 3,975 examination centres registered for the 2025 examinations, compared to 359,417 in 2024, marking an increase of 72,746 candidates, equivalent to 20.2 percent growth.

Of the registered candidates, 204,292 were male representing 47.3 percent, while 227,871 were female representing 52.7 percent. A total of 429,949 candidates sat the examinations, translating into 99.5 percent attendance.

Performance analysis released by UNEB shows a marked improvement compared to 2024. In 2025, 428,628 candidates attained Result 1, while 1,191 candidates recorded Result 2 and 130 recorded Result 3.

Stakeholders hailed the progress made in the second cohort under the Competency Based Curriculum.

According to the Board’s study, learners under the new curriculum demonstrate stronger research skills, improved creativity and innovation, better communication abilities and enhanced critical thinking and problem solving capacity.

These outcomes affirm that the curriculum is strategic in shaping a competent and globally competitive generation.

A: 80-100% (Pass with Distinction), B: 70-79% (Pass with Credit), C: 60-69% (Pass with Credit), D: 50-59% (Pass) and E: 0-49% (Pass, but with a lower competency level).
