Former NRM National Entrepreneur’s League Contestant, Sanjay Tanna Gets International Recognition

An International Indian Business Forum has honored Hon. Sanjay Tanna for his consistent efforts towards community upliftment, social harmony, and inclusive development reflecting a lifelong commitment to serving society at large.

The Award given to Hon. Sanjay Tanna on 31st January, 2026 at Jio World Convention Centre, Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai was organized by Lohana International Business Forum (LIBF), a global association.

 

“On behalf of Shree Lohana Mahaparishad, it gives us great pleasure to inform you that we wish to felicitate and honour you during LIBF Expo 2026 – “Mumbai Calling”, being organised by the Lohana International Business Forum (LIBF),” reads an invitation letter signed off by Satish D. Vithalani, President and Managing Trustee of Shree Lohana Mahaparishad.

 

To fecilitate means to praise someone and say that you approve of or are pleased about a special or unusual achievement.

The global Lohana community congratulates Sanjay Tanna for holding a historic and pioneering place in public life as the first elected Member of Parliament of Indian and Lohana origin in Uganda.

“Your journey reflects courage, leadership, and a deep sense of responsibility, and stands as a source of pride and inspiration for the global Lohana community,” reads the fecilitation.

Hon. Sanjay Tanna, a political and business icon in Tororo Municipality in particular and Eastern Uganda as a region is known for his engagement with community causes and accessibility to people from all walks of life which underline his belief that public service is not merely a position, but a continuous responsibility.

“With immense pleasure and respect am happy to announce that Hon. Sanjay Tanna has been presented with a special facilitation award by Lohana Mahaparishad at the ongoing LIBF event in Mumbai,” wrote Trustee/Chairman of Lohana Global Forum.

 

For his historic achievement as the first elected Member of Parliament of Indian / Lohana origin in Uganda, sustained contribution to community welfare and public life, and inspirational role for the Indian diaspora and the Lohana fraternity globally, the LIBF honored Hon. Sanjay Tanna the LIBF Expo 2026.

This international exposure, presents Hon. Sanjay Tanna as a missing link between Ugandan Entrepreneurs and Indian Investors.

“We have missed a great opportunity to have an NRM National Entrepreneurs Chairperson of such international standing,” says Aziz, a senior NRM Entrepreneurs leader at Mbale City.

Sanjay Tanna contested for the Chairperson, NRM National Entrepreneurs League in the 2025 CEC elections but stood down citing voter bribery, and voter confinement despite getting overwhelming endorsement from delegates hailing from Eastern and Northern Uganda.
