2026 Message: PLU-USA Diaspora Chairman Kananura Pledges Intensive Mobilization for Museveni win ahead of Polls

The Chairman, PLU-USA Diaspora Chapter Mr Ronnie Kananura has delivered an upbeat New year message to Ugandans and members of the Diaspora, urging them to continue to safeguard the achievements attained under the visionary leadership of His Excellency Yoweri Museveni.

In the message copied to the Chairman Patriotic League of Uganda , General Muhoozi Kainerugaba , National Vice Chairman Michael Nuwagira Kaguta Toyota, all PLU Central Committee Members, the National Coordinator PLU Diaspora Affairs, all PLU – USA Chapter Leaders & Regional Coordinators , PLU – USA Chapter Members and PLU – Diaspora Leaders & Members , Kananura hailed NRM and PLU leadershipunwavering commitment, exemplary service, and steadfast leadership during these challenging times have been truly inspiring.

‘’As we step into 2026, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of Uganda; General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Chief of Defense Forces; Mr. Michael Toyota Nuwagira, Acting National Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda; National Coordinator Diaspora Affairs Steven Rutasharara; the entire PLU-NRM Executive in Uganda; and the leadership of PLU-USA. Your unwavering commitment, exemplary service, and steadfast leadership during these challenging times have been truly inspiring’’,Kananura said.

He added that the past year has demanded resilience, wisdom, and faith, and your dedication has exemplified these qualities with integrity and purpose.

He added that PLU-USA will remain united in vision, anchored in faith, and resolute in our mission to serve with love, integrity, and commitment.

NRM and PLU late last year pledged to deliver over 80 per cent of the vote for President Museveni in the 2026 General Election, announcing a joint mobilisation strategy to secure a landslide victory. Leaders from both groups emphasized that they are all part of the ‘NRM family’ and are working together to consolidate support for President Museveni.

NRM and PLU have always called for unity and discipline as joint campaigns comes to an end towards elections, expressing confidence that the partnership will secure a resounding victory for President Museveni.
