Over the weekend, the lush greens of St. Louise Memorial Golf Club in Namulonge were abuzz with energy, laughter, and a dash of competitive flair as staff from MTN Uganda and Equity Bank came together for the first leg of the Equity–MTN Golf Series. What unfolded was more than just a tournament. It was a vibrant celebration of teamwork, camaraderie, and the shared values that define both organisations.

MTN’s dominance was particularly evident in Group A Men, Group C Men, and Group A Ladies. Albert Gitta (76), Bryan Mbasa (67), and Ruth Akello (75) stood out as group winners, each demonstrating poise, precision, and sportsmanship.
Equity held their own in Group B Ladies and Group C Men, with top scorers like Afurah Arinda (67), Desire Namale (70), and Stephen Wanderema (70) making a strong impression.
A noteworthy performance came from MTN’s Justina Icabala, who not only secured the Longest Drive in the ladies’ category but also finished as Runner-Up in Group B Ladies with a net score of 70, making her a standout dual-category achiever.
