Coca-Cola Uganda is excited to announce the return of its globally loved ‘Share a Coke’ campaign, with a fresh twist that speaks directly to Gen Z’s desire for real, authentic connection.
Through an innovative cross-border activation, students from Makerere University Business School (MUBS) in Uganda and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in Kenya came together virtually for a vibrant “Cross-Border Toast” – celebrating friendship, unity, and unforgettable Coke moments.
The landmark event is part of Coca-Cola’s broader East and Central Africa campaign relaunch, designed to bring people together in an era of fleeting digital interactions by providing real-life, tangible moments that create lasting memories.
“The ‘Share a Coke’ campaign has always been about creating genuine human connections, and this East African activation takes that concept to a new level,” said Arthur Akankwasah, Coca-Cola Franchise Manager, Uganda. “By connecting students across borders, we’re not just sharing a refreshing beverage – we’re sharing culture, friendship, and the spirit that unites East Africa. In today’s world, where digital interactions can feel fleeting, this campaign offers a tangible way for young people to connect authentically.”
