Nkuusa Back to USA after several meetings in Uganda, Hails Museveni, CDF Muhoozi for Visionary leadership

Renowned National Resistance Movement (NRM) and Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) Diaspora mobilizer Ambassador Francis Nkuusa last week returned to the United States after ending his weeklong working visit to the Ugandan government establishments in the country.

While in Uganda, Nkuusa flanked by other officials held discussions with Mr Mohammad Bagonza the senior Presidential advisor Diaspora affairs to H.E Yoweri Museveni, and Henry Wabyona, Deputy Head of Diaspora Affairs at State House Uganda, who asserted that the government is focused on supporting and executing the knowledge-based economy.

Nkuusa says Wabyona and Bagonza have done a tremendous job in promoting Uganda outside the country which is attracting investments from both Ugandans and foreign investors.

Nkuusa also met Hon Michael Mawanda, the Director of Mobilization for the PLU at the civic organization’s headquarters in Naguru, Kampala aimed at fostering collaboration and solidifying the commitment of the Diaspora team toward PLU’s mobilization efforts across the globe.

‘’ I want to thank the President for his visionary leadership that is driving the country into an economic hub for the great lakes region. Also the CDF Gen.Muhoozi for loving his country and we are ready to support him as he guided that we rally behind President Museveni but we are ready also for his leadership in case he offers himself for the country’s top seat’’, added Nkuusa.

Nkuusa hailed PS Yunnus Kakande for the message he delivered to the RDCs recently at Kyankwanzi. There are reports that all Resident District Commissioners (RDCs) have been instructed to remain on standby and prepare to advocate for candidate Muhoozi Kainerugaba in the event that his father, President Museveni, is unable to run in 2026.

During the Kyankwanzi retreat, Haji Yunnus Kakande, the prominent Permanent Secretary in the President’s Office, conveyed a message to the RDCs.

Kakande advised the RDCs to be prepared for unforeseen circumstances, as there are potential indicators suggesting that Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), could emerge as the candidate for the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party, replacing President Museveni, who has held power for the past 35 years.

Recently, Gen Muhoozi has engaged with foreign diplomats and leaders from around the globe, including those from the UK, who express confidence in his ability to preserve the security and stability that Ugandans have experienced for the past 40 years. Acting on instructions from his father, Gen Museveni, he has also signed various economic and military agreements with international investors, demonstrating reassurance that the nation will remain secure even in the event of a transfer of power
