The Director of Kakembo Foundation who doubles as the councilor for Kireka A/ Central, in Kira Municipality Hon.Henry Kakembo Batte has urged all Muslims to “Feel more connected to the almighty and thus love and respect God and one another.”

While delivering his Ramadan message to the people of Kireka and Ugandans at large, Kakembo , who is also an aspiring mayor noted that the period of Ramadan is very essential for Muslims as it all leads to a greater self and connects the people with one another and more over with the creator.

It should be noted that Muslims across Uganda on Saturday, March 1, 2025, commenced fasting as the holy month of Ramadan officially began as per the Muslim calendar following the sighting of the crescent moon as confirmed on Friday evening by Dr. Ziyad Swalleh Lubanga, the Director of Sharia at the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC).
‘’On behalf of the Hon.Kakembo foundation, I would like to sincerely wish all Muslims in Uganda, a very peaceful and blessed Holy Month of Ramadan. We all know the month of Ramadan is a very important period, where Muslims traditionally come together to fast, pray and honour the values at the heart of Islam, of peace, gratitude, generosity and compassion’’, said Kakembo.
