Linglong President Feng Wang, Mandela Group Chairman Hajj Omar Hands Over Electric Car to the Winner of Linglong Tyres EV Promotion

Mandela group of companies in partnership with Linglong Tire have awarded Mr Godfrey Kyeyune who emerged as the second lucky winner of an electric car from the second draw of the Linglong Tyres Electrical Vehicle (EV) promotion.

The function was graced by the chairman of Mandela Group Hajj Omar Ahmed and Feng Wang the president and CEO of Linglong Tire, a global tire manufacturer. Kyeyune was earlier this week announced a second lucky winner of an electric car from the second draw following a draw held at the Mandela Auto zone in Industrial area, Kampala.

Feng Wang hailed Mandela group for the partnership, quality services and revealed that the company is planning to expand further and establish more investments in the country.

On his side, Hajj Omar, noted that Mandela group emphasizes quality products and services as a way of ensuring that clients have value for their money.

Godfrey Kyeyune who hailed Mandela group and Linglong for being honest and offering quality services, becomes the second winner after John Bosco Mugisha won an electric car from the lucky draw which requires customers to buy Linglong tyres to be able to enter the draw. The promotion covers all types of cars including passenger cars, trucks, SUVs and 4x4S.

Kyeyune will officially receive the car from the Linglong Tyre President and CEO Feng Wang on Saturday at the event attended by Mandela group staff led by their marketer Herbert Bashaha and the senior executive corporate sales Mahad Twaha among others from different outlets.

Other winners from the draw included; Eric Okot,  Josephine Namuwonge, Ibrahim Ssekajugo and Aisha Nabisaaalu who will get full free vehicle service , a carton of supreme baking and maize flour , free fuel worthy shs 100,000, and free wheel alignment and wheel balancing respectively.

Over the years, electric mobility in Uganda is getting popular as commercial players join in to promote e-vehicles with Mandela Group, whose lucky customers have been rewarded electric car donations being the leader.

Last year City Oil, a subsidiary of the Mandela Group, announced a partnership with Linglong Tyres to support E-Mobility in Uganda with an aim of protecting the environment from carbon emissions coming from the fuel engines.

The city Oil Kira Road placed a high-power charging point where users can charge their cars quickly.

This came after the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development installed two public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at their headquarters, located at Amber House in Kampala as part of the efforts to promote the electric mobility industry In Uganda.

Linglong officials say they committed to partnering with the Mandela group to deliver quality tires to Ugandans and also promote e-mobility in the country to aim at protecting the environment.
