The Deputy Resident District Commissioner Entebbe, Hakim Kirigwa, on Monday broke ground for the construction of 3 classroom blocks at Bulega Church of Uganda Primary School in Katabi Town Council, Entebbe.
Speaking to reporters after the ceremony, Kirigwa who was flanked by the mayor Katabi Town Council asked the contractors to do quality work and to finish the project effectively.
‘’ Since the introduction of UPE, NRM government has embarked on infrastructure development to suite the current increasing numbers of pupils. Education is not only to provide knowledge, wisdom and skills but also empowering our communities to advocate for themselves, fight injustices, corruption poverty among others’’, said Kirigwa.
Kirigwa said the construction of these 3 classroom blocks is geared towards investing in the education of children for generations to come.
‘’The new classrooms will allow children to be taught in a better and more child friendly school environment with smaller classes that will enhance individual attention to children and enough desk space’’, he added.
