The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt Hon Nabbanja Robinah has commissioned the PPDA-URF Towers at a significant occasion held in Kampala today.
The Premier extended her thanks to H.E. President Museveni for endorsing the amendment of the PPDA Act in June 2021.
Finance state Minister Amos Lugoloobi, highlighted that the building is a product of collaborative procurement as provided for under Sc. 58 of the PPDA Act 2003.
According to executive director PPDA Benson Turamye, the tower is a perfect case study of collaboration by public institutions to deliver projects within time cost and quality.
Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA) and Uganda Road Fund (URF) have gone down in the books of history as the first two government agencies to build a joint structure to house their Head offices.
The 10 store twin-tower building situated at Plot 39 Nakasero Road has been built at a cost of 50 Billion UGX Shillings.
