Dorcas Muhwezi, Customer Experience Manager at MTN Uganda said the company’s support to Bumu Disability Development Association is aimed at empowering entrepreneurs to unlock the country’s economic growth and create jobs.
“We at MTN Uganda believe in doing good in communities in which we operate and that is the reason we’re here to extend our support to our entrepreneurs through the latest technologies, training, upskilling and mentorship to thrive in this digital era,” he said.
He said no one should be left behind in terms of access to the latest technologies irrespective of social-economic status as they seek to transform their lives and that of their communities.
Latest statistics from the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development show that the private sector which consists mainly of micro, small and medium enterprises generates most of the jobs for our population.
