Qatar Embassy in Kampala Distributes Humanitarian Aid to 500 Sudanese Refugee Families

Ahmed Al-Zoweidi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Uganda, witnessed the distribution of Qatari humanitarian aid targeting 500 Sudanese refugee families in the Seeta area ,Kampala metropolitan.

This initiative comes as part of ongoing efforts to support those affected by humanitarian crises.

The distribution ceremony was attended by a number of diplomatic and official figures, including: Dr. Rashid Yahya Ssemudo, Ambassador of Uganda to Sudan and Special Envoy to Qatar, Mr. Al-Jazouli Hamouda, Consul of the Republic of Sudan , officials from Kampala Capital City Authority, and Dr. Omar Al-Jaz , Director of the Islamic Dawah Organization (the executing agency of the project).

In his speech during the ceremony, Dr. Rashid Yahya Ssemuddu expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to the Embassy of the State of Qatar and the Qatari people for this noble humanitarian gesture.

He praised Qatar’s vital role in assisting refugees and alleviating the burdens on host countries.

On his part, Dr. Omar Al-Jaz, Director of the Islamic Dawah Organization, extended his thanks and gratitude to the State of Qatar for its continuous and unwavering support for humanitarian and developmental projects, emphasizing that this project embodies the depth of fraternal solidarity during times of crisis.

In turn, the Qatari Ambassador, H.E. Ahmed Al-Zuweidi expressed his hope that this assistance would contribute significantly to alleviating the suffering of the displaced Sudanese families and meeting their basic needs, reaffirming the State of Qatar’s firm commitment to its humanitarian responsibilities toward fraternal nations.
