Dolwe Island, Namayingo District | July 2026 – La Fang Eco Resort hosts a team of media professionals, digital content creators, influencers, and photographers for a familiarization tour aimed at showcasing the resort’s luxury eco-friendly hospitality, unique experiences, and the natural beauty of Dolwe Island.
The visit aimed to highlight La Fang Eco Resort as a premier island getaway while showcasing the destination’s growing tourism potential.
The participants travelled aboard MV Sigulu to Dolwe Island, where they experienced the island’s breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and eco-luxury hospitality.
During the visit, the team took part in a range of curated experiences, including quad bike adventures, farm visits, a unique “breakfast in the bush” experience, swimming, karaoke, guided island tours, boat cruises on Lake Victoria, goat roasting from the resort’s eco-farm, and sunset photography sessions, giving them an authentic taste of the memorable experiences that Dolwe Island has to offer.
The team also explored La Fang Eco Resort’s uniquely designed rooms and cottages, which blend modern comfort with the island’s natural rock formations. Built with sustainability at its core, the resort was developed without removing its iconic rocks or trees, allowing visitors to experience nature in its purest form.
Speaking during the familiarization tour, Duncan Wandera, General Manager of La Fang Eco Resort, said the initiative is part of the resort’s broader strategy to increase awareness of Dolwe Island through authentic storytelling and digital content creation.
“We are delighted to host some of Uganda’s leading content creators and media professionals to experience Dolwe Island firsthand. Their stories, photographs and videos will help introduce more people to this incredible destination while showcasing the unique experiences that La Fang Eco Resort offers,” Wandera said.
As part of the visit, the team also handed over Explore Uganda branded promotional materials in support of destination marketing efforts.
Influencer Queen Tracy Nakabugo praised the resort’s accommodation and peaceful setting. “The rooms are beautifully designed, the environment is calm, and the scenery is breathtaking. It’s the perfect place to relax, recharge, and enjoy nature,” she said.
Content creator Simple Gladys, her username on social media described the experience as memorable and encouraged more Ugandans to visit. “La Fang Eco Resort is a hidden gem.
