‘’Despite Kabuye being out of office , he has continued responsibilities more than even those in power and we are proud for his stature of leadership. If he has done all this when he is not an MP, how about when we take him to parliament to represent us ?’’,, said one of the local leaders .

Since the previous elections , Kabuye , in the same spirit, has been donating and empowering communities in Njeru in various aspects including sports for youth talent promotion, women and youth development groups, bodaboda riders groups, joining forces to support construction of religious facilities among other initiatives.

It should be remembered that during the general party primaries in 2020, Badru Kabuye defeated his opponents Paul Musoke and Daiana Nyago with 5655 votes . Nyago polled  5594 while Musoke  4475 voted.

Shockingly ,Nyago was controversially  declared the winner by Dr Tanga Ondoi with different results of 5, 208, Kabuye 3, 128 and Musoke 4, 252 which sparked protests from Kabuye’s supporters who said his victory was tempered with.

Later Kabuye petitioned the commission again calling fresh elections in the contested electoral areas.
