Uganda’s first son and Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has appointed Coordinators for the sub- regions of; Kigezi,Acholi, Tooro, Greater Arua ,Ankole and Rwenzori.
Muhoozi, a Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations and former Commander of both the UPDF Land Forces and Special Forces Command (SFC), appointed regional leaders days after rebranding the MK Movement to ‘Patriotic League of Uganda’.

According to sources, PLU was launched with the optimism of consolidating support base and furthering ambitions for Gen.Muhoozi’s presidency.
During the event which saw attendance from numerous members of parliament and hundreds of Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s supporters, indicating significant backing for the new initiative, leaders said PLU will address issues such as fighting corruption, conserving the environment, and encouraging Ugandans to engage in their civic duties for the collective good. It also intends to preserve Uganda’s natural and social cohesion.
