Kigezi regional police spokesperson Mr. Maate when contacted said the case was being monitored by top security office in Kampala and the ministry of ethics and Integrity.

This media didn’t understand Niwagira’s case to be either persecution over his homosexuality behavior or he was being persecuted by locals who are supporters of the incumbent MP and minister Dr. Chris Baryomunsi who was being threatened by the mouthful’s political mission of unseating him or both.
