PLU USA Chapter Commends Chairman Toyota for Championing Unity after Elections

The leadership of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) -USA Diaspora Chapter led by Mr Ronnie Kananura, has commended Mr. Nuwagira Michael Kaguta Toyota, the National Vice Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda, for promoting Post election Peace and Unity.

In a statement released this week , titled ‘ Gratitude for Recognition and a Call for Unity Following the Concluded Elections’ , Kananura said Chairman Nuwagira’s acknowledgement of the diaspora’s role reinforces their commitment to the Patriotic League of Uganda and its mission to promote patriotism and national unity.

‘’The energy and dedication shown by our members across the United States have been instrumental in advancing our shared vision. As we move forward, we wish to echo your recent calls for reconciliation and internal harmony. We formally call upon all aggrieved parties and members who may feel sidelined or dissatisfied with the electoral process and growth of PLU to join hands with us’’, Kananaura said.

He added that PLU- USA chapter’s strength lies in their unity, and it is only by working together that they can effectively continue; Promoting PLU-USA, Empower the Diaspora and Build a Unified Movement.

‘’We shall continue to Strengthen our regional structures and mobilization activities to ensure a robust presence in the diaspora. Ensure that the voices of Ugandans abroad are heard and that their potential is harnessed for national development. Transitioning from the heat of the elections to a period of collective growth, where internal disputes are set aside for the greater good of the league’’, added Kananura.

Kananura extended the Diaspora’s commitment to remaining steadfast in their support of Chairman General Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s vision and look forward to your continued guidance as they strive to make the PLU-USA chapter a beacon of patriotism and service.

Kananura and other leaders of the PLU- USA Chapter travelled to Uganda late last year to boost campaigns for the NRM flag bearer President Museveni who won with with landslide victory in the precious polls.

It should be remembered that early this month , Nuwagira hailed PLU diaspora teams for their mobilization and support during the elections, while urging them to continue strengthening the organization globally in support of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the National Resistance Movement, and Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

NRM and PLU have always called for unity and discipline expressing confidence that the partnership strengthens the ruling government support during and after elections.
