Sino-Uganda Mbale Industrial Park Donates UGX 48M Worth of Non-Food Items to Mbale Muslim Community
Sino-Uganda Mbale Industrial Park has donated non-food items worth UGX 48 million to the Muslim community in Mbale City as part of its corporate social responsibility. The donation was made Tuesday in appreciation of the community’s support for the park’s growth and success.
The contribution was intended for Eid celebrations and was made possible by several companies operating within the industrial park, including Grace Textile (U) Ltd, Pearlight Technology Co. Ltd, Unisteel Investment Uganda Ltd, Ujia Innovation Technology Ltd, Grace Foam Investment Ltd, Wan Way Textile and Garment Manufacturing Ltd, Hillbrook Industries Group Co. Ltd, Timber Paper Industry Uganda Co. Ltd, and Softcare U Ltd, among others.
The donated items included electric water kettles, shopping bags, televisions, juice blenders, mobile phones, mirrors, mats, bar soap, short-sleeved shirts, bed covers, bed sheets, pillows, prayer mats, jeans, baby diapers, mineral water, and UGX 4 million in cash.
Laurent Zhang, Administration Manager of Sino-Uganda Mbale Industrial Park, expressed his gratitude for the community’s support and emphasized the importance of giving back.
“As we celebrate the completion of the blessed month of Ramadan, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to each of you for your commitment, perseverance, and devotion during this sacred time,” Zhang said.
“It is with great joy that we donate these items, which are manufactured within the park, as a token of gratitude and solidarity with the Muslim community. This contribution reflects our commitment to the people who have supported our growth.” he noted.
