BIG HEARTED! Mothers Union Namirembe donates to Sanyu Babies Home
Mothers Union Namirembe has donated food supplies and child-care items to Sanyu Babies Home in Mengo.

The team led by their president Roseline Bingi Kawiso delivered a consignment of goods to the home including nutritious foods and drinks for babies, Toilet tissues, laundry soap and hard cash among others in solidarity with the abandoned babies.
She also warned girls who are not ready for marriage to stay away from live sexual escapades as a deliberate strategy of sparing the innocent lives of the babies they dump like toilet tissue.
She said these donations are more than just items; they symbolize their commitment to nurturing the future generation of Uganda.

The delegation action was part of their week-long activities lined up to mark their celebration of Mary’s Day 2025 which included cleaning markets , donations to poor and vulnerable victims among other initiatives.
Kawiso said as they celebrate this day, they hold a series of lined up activities to sensitize the public about the great roles Mothers Union bodies play among respective Church of Uganda communities across the country.

Christine Nalwanga Kayondo, the secretary of Sanyu Babies Home, expressed gratitude for the support and highlighted the positive impact such contributions have on the children’s lives.
