United Bank for Africa (UBA) ED/CEO Africa, Abiola Bawuah is on a 3-days visit in Uganda to reaffirm the bank’s dedication to the Country.
Bawuah is engaging with key stakeholders, including Government officials, business leaders, and customers. She emphasized UBA’s commitment to supporting Uganda’s economic growth and development.
“We are proud of our presence in Uganda and our contribution to the country’s financial landscape,” Bawuah said. “Our goal is to facilitate trade, investment, and economic integration across Africa, and Uganda is a critical partner in this journey.”
Bawuah also explored opportunities for growth and expansion in Uganda, particularly in the areas of digital banking, trade finance, and SME support, mostly taking advantage of the current UBA – AFCFTA partnership that is widely here to support all SME businesses.
