Roke Telkom, a homegrown telecommunications provider, during the month of October, demonstrated its ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable communities through several impactful initiatives.

As part of its Roke Gives Back program, as well as commemorating 18 years of connecting Uganda with world class internet, the company visited Bless a Child Foundation in Kampala, Manna Rescue Home in Fort Portal, Grace Villa Sanctuary for Girls in Kabale, and Overcomers Special Needs Education Junior School in Mbale, offering donations, resources, and support to hundreds of children in need.

In Kampala, Roke Telkom extended its support to Bless a Child Foundation, which offers aid to children battling cancer with the provision of accommodation, food supplies and basic necessities. Roke Telkom’s contribution is part of a long-standing relationship with the foundation. Some of the essential items donated included: rice, maize flour, beans, sugar, and cooking oil, which will provide nutritional support for the children in the foundation’s care homes.
