Excitement as ‘Youth Calling Dance Tournament’ is set for May 18th in Namugongo
The much awaited annual Music, Dance, and Drama competition organized by the Youth Calling Today (YCT) will take place at Healing Grace Church, along Kefa Road in Namugongo, Kira Municipality in the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area (GKMA) on Saturday 18th May 2024.
YCT is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) whose mission is to help young people find value in society and for God through promoting gospel talent in Music, Dance, and Drama. YCT also empowers young people and impact communities in Namugongo by addressing their social and spiritual challenges i.e. Immorality, Gender Inequalities, unemployment, poverty, illiteracy, hunger, sickness, among others.
Speaking to reporters on Monday 29th April 2024 in Kampala, Mr Daniel Muwanguzi, one of the founding members of YCT said prizes are up for grabs for those willing to participate in the ‘Youth Calling Dance Tournament’, an event he said will also help youths socialize, network and learn new things from various mentors.

‘’Besides the money that is set to be won, there are also lots of other products that will be won on D-day since the epic event will be climaxing. Participants will come from different parts of the country as they will be eager to display their dance moves and skills’’, he said adding that the entrance to the event is free coupled with a drink and parking lot.
Muwanguzi added in the near future ,the YCT intervention will expand through setting up and implementing several programs/projects that target children, youths and the most vulnerable in communities such as Evangelism, Leadership, Charity, Children Support programs, Girl/Women empowerment programs, Skills training and Talent development in schools and communities in Namugongo and the whole country.
‘’And as a result, we would be raising up a God fearing youth generation that equally standup in their communities to participate in the development of their society’’, he added.

The Gala categorized with ‘Only Gospel; Music’ has already started attracting teams from in and around Kampala, all hoping to take home the bigger prize and embracing the mission of YCT.
“We have received a number of groups that have expressed interest to take part in this competition with many promising to be permanent participants in all the annual events in the future. We are hoping to get more teams before the deadline and we call upon all well-wishers and those that support youth development and talent to support us’’, Muwanguzi noted further.
