The National Resistance Movement (NRM) National Youth League leadership has lashed out at the Party’s Electoral Commission Chairperson, Dr. Tanga Odoi calling him a lumpen and hooligan.
The attack is contained in a strongly worded press release dated today 9th March, 2024 by the NRM Youth League Secretariat.
The press release alleges that Dr. Tanga Odoi is fronting his son identified as Collins Odoi to become Chairperson NRM Youth League through undemocratic means.
“We would like to condemn some Party leaders at the Secretariat, especially Dr. Tanga Odoi who is using his son a one Tanga Collins whom he wants to contest as Chair National NRM Youth League and thinks he would rig elections for him like he did in the Makerere University Convocation elections,” reads the statement.
The NRM Youth leaders have in the same vein asked President Museveni, also National NRM Party Chairman to bring Dr. Tanga Odoi to order saying Odoi has in the recent past turned himself into a lumpen and hooligan.
