NCBA Bank Uganda Limited has today launched its NCBA NOW Zero Transaction Fees campaign, an initiative aimed at encouraging greater use of digital banking, rewarding existing customers with more value and attracting new customers to experience the convenience of banking with NCBA.
Running until 31 December 2026, the campaign allows customers to enjoy zero transaction fees on selected transactions through the NCBA NOW app, web and USSD channels. Eligible transactions include utility bill payments, bank-to-wallet transfers, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS), international transfers and National Social Security Fund (NSSF) payments, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
The campaign is designed to encourage existing NCBA NOW users to transact more frequently, motivate customers who have become inactive to reconnect with the bank, and attract new customers looking for convenient and rewarding digital banking solutions.
Speaking at the media launch at NCBA Bank’s head office at Twed Towers in Kampala, NCBA Bank Uganda CEO Mark Muyobo said the campaign reflects the bank’s commitment to delivering practical benefits that make banking simpler, more accessible and more rewarding.
“At NCBA, we believe banking should do more than facilitate transactions. It should make life easier, create opportunities and empower people to pursue their ambitions. That is the thinking behind our NCBA NOW Zero Transaction Fees campaign.
“We recognize that our customers want banking that is convenient and offers greater value for their money. By removing transaction fees on selected services through our digital channels for the remainder of the year, we are encouraging customers to make greater use of digital banking while enjoying savings on everyday transactions.
“Our message is simple: transact more, enjoy greater convenience and pay zero transaction fees on eligible transactions. We also welcome those who are not yet banking with NCBA to open an account and experience the benefits of banking with us,” Muyobo said.
Through NCBA NOW, customers can access banking services through the mobile app, web and *212# USSD channels, giving them convenient ways to manage their financial transactions.
The Zero Transaction Fees campaign reinforces NCBA’s commitment to improving the digital banking experience and encouraging customers to make digital channels part of their everyday financial activities. Existing customers are encouraged to take advantage of the offer by using NCBA NOW more frequently, while customers who have not actively used their accounts are invited to reconnect with the bank.
Prospective customers can also open an NCBA account and benefit from the offer on eligible transactions. The initiative reflects NCBA’s belief that the value of digital banking lies not simply in the technology available, but in how effectively it saves customers time, improves convenience and supports their financial ambitions. The launch also complements NCBA Bank’s ongoing SME campaign, “Ku NCBA Kiggwa Ku Bwererere,” which is designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises by making banking and access to financing more affordable. Through the SME campaign, qualifying customers can benefit from free banking with zero transaction fees and zero arrangement fees on facilities such as business loans, invoice discounting, LPO financing and asset financing. Small and medium-sized enterprises play an important role in Uganda’s economic development, supporting employment, entrepreneurship and livelihoods.
By addressing banking costs and providing financial solutions to businesses, NCBA aims to help SMEs manage their operations more efficiently and focus on growing their enterprises. Muyobo added: “Our commitment to delivering value extends beyond individual customers to the businesses that drive Uganda’s economy. We understand that for SMEs, every cost matters and every opportunity to improve cash flow can make a difference.
“Through Ku NCBA Kiggwa Ku Bwererere, we are communicating a clear proposition to businesses: more value from their banking, with zero transaction fees and zero arrangement fees on facilities, subject to the applicable terms and conditions. “Together, these initiatives demonstrate our commitment to making banking work harder for our customers, whether they are individuals managing their daily finances or entrepreneurs building businesses.”
NCBA Bank continues to focus on solutions that respond to customers’ changing needs, with digital banking playing an important role in delivering convenient and accessible financial services.
The bank is encouraging customers to explore its digital banking channels, take advantage of the Zero Transaction Fees campaign and engage with its teams to learn more about the available banking solutions. Customers can access the offer through the NCBA NOW Ug app that can be downloaded from the app store or google play store, web and USSD channels (*212#).
The campaign runs until 31 December 2026, with zero transaction fees applicable to the specified eligible transactions and subject to the campaign’s terms and conditions. Through these initiatives, NCBA Bank reaffirms its purpose of “Banking on Belief, Empowering Ambitions” and its commitment to helping customers and businesses move forward with greater confidence.
