Mocoo, Boda Union Partnership to Strengthen Electric Mobility in Uganda  

MOCOO, a leading EV automobile brand operating under FYOND New Energy Technology Limited has announced a strengthened vision and commitment to promote sustainable solutions in Uganda.

Having successfully promoted Uganda as an East African investment hub, FYOND is now poised to scale up its joint activities to increase awareness and support the rollout leading EV manufacturer electric motorcycles to individual riders , corporations, institutions, and government entities, according to MOCOO’s Co Founder and FYOND New Energy Technology Limited CEO Mr Franklin Wang.

Speaking during the launch at their offices along Mulwana road in Kampala, Mr Wang said MOCOO electric motorbikes offer a solution to air pollution by allowing riders to swap clean and efficient batteries and travel thousands of kilometers without pollution.

He added that FYOND New Energy Technology’s mission is to transform mobility in Uganda and the entire region by delivering innovative, affordable, and sustainable electric motorcycles that empower people, protect the planet, and drive economic growth through cleaner, more efficient transport solutions.

According to Siraj Mutyaba, the Chairperson United Boda-Boda Riders Cooperative Union for Kampala said the partnership with MOCOO is grounded on a shared belief in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as the need to transfer technology, create jobs, and ensure climate-smart solutions.

“Uganda’s ambition to become a middle-income country requires green jobs, climate-smart technology, and a firm commitment to promoting African values as the foundation for business and development. At FYOND they encourage High Net Worth partners to be conscious of their role in preserving our environment while contributing to industrialization. With their electric bike, MOCOO is making available a sustainable solution to transportation that reduces our carbon footprint,” explained Mutyaba.

Mutyaba hailed MOCOO and Fyond for designing solutions that improve the lives of riders, communities, and partners by enhancing livelihoods, safety, and accessibility and collaborating with Union to drive shared value and sustainable growth.

Ivan Aruho, the Head of Sales at FYOND , highlighted the benefits of the MOCOO Bike’s electronic system, which enhances security, reduces emissions, contributes to road safety, and helps bike owners save on fuel.
