Equity Bank Uganda Champions supporting MSMEs, a game Changer for Uganda’s Economy

Equity bank has consolidated a top position in understanding the unique needs of SMEs to offer tailored solutions, aiming to empower businesses socially and economically through integrated financial services.

During the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Symposium & Expo 2025 Uganda occurred on September 18, 2025, at the UMA Show Grounds, in Kampala, the bank offered opportunities for MSMEs to connect, learn, and grow through panel discussions and fireside chats on digital innovation and sustainability.

‘’Our team is at the MSMEs Symposium & Expo 2025 at UMA Show Grounds, engaging clients and potential clients at our booth and sharing our various SME products designed to support business growth’’, said Equity Bank on their X platform.

The event served as a platform for Ugandan MSMEs to gain practical solutions and expand their businesses.

Equity Bank offers significant support to MSMEs in East Africa, including Uganda, through various initiatives like the 2025 Tupange Business Forum, financial literacy programs, and partnerships with other key stakeholders.

The bank prioritizes MSMEs as a core pillar of its business strategy to engage with entrepreneurs and foster business growth and market access.

This year, Equity Bank launched the 2025 “Tupange Business ne Equity Nationwide Forum” to strengthen and support MSMEs across the country.

Equity Bank provides financial literacy and business development services to MSMEs and Savings and Credit Cooperatives (SACCOs).

Equity Bank’s support for MSMEs aligns with national development goals, such as Uganda’s Parish Development Model (PDM), aimed at increasing household income and moving people into the formal economy.
