Equity Bank Uganda advises customers to protect their PINs and personal banking information, use strong passwords, and be wary of suspicious calls and SMS messages. The bank’s official communication number is 0312 327 000, and SMS messages will have an “EQUITY-UG” sender ID.
You should never share your PIN, OTP, or account details with anyone, especially via social media or WhatsApp, as the bank does not have a WhatsApp number.
Report any suspicious activity to the bank immediately and confirm official channels by looking for their verified blue tick on social media.
