MTN MoMo Uganda to Give away over 100 Air tickets to its International Remittances’ Customers

MTN MoMo Uganda has kicked off its International Remittances Campaign, which promises to reward over 100 lucky winners with round trip air tickets aboard Uganda Airlines, to exciting destinations. In an exciting event held at the MTN MoMo head offices today, the company handed over the first batch of air tickets, marking the beginning of a campaign designed to enhance the convenience and safety of sending money across borders while providing thrilling opportunities for its customers.
This campaign encourages customers to utilize MTN MoMo’s authorized partners around the world, to ensuring that their loved ones around the world receive funds quickly, safely, and conveniently. By partnering with trusted services such as Remitly, Instant Cash, Western Union, Safaricom, RemitBee, HelloPaisa, Ria Money Transfer, and IFTIN Express, MTN MoMo aims to make the process of sending and receiving money secure, seamless and accessible to all, regardless of where they are, in the world.
Speaking at the air ticket handover event, Stephen Mutana,the MTN MoMo Chief Strategy and Stakeholder Officer, highlighted the campaign’s significance and MTN’s ongoing commitment to fostering connections across borders. 30 winners received return air tickets to assorted destinations such as: Dubai, Mumbai, Mombasa, Zanzibar
“At MTN MoMo, our mission has always been to connect people, no matter where they are in the world. We recognize the vital role that remittances play in supporting families, communities, and economies back home,” said Yego. “This campaign is designed not only to make sending money easier and more secure but also to reward our customers with the chance to win incredible prizes. Today, we are thrilled to hand over the first of many air tickets to our lucky winners, who will soon be traveling to destinations like Dubai, India, or within East Africa and back.”
The MTN MoMo International Remittance Campaign is a key initiative within MTN’s broader Ambition 2025 strategy, which seeks to lead digital and financial inclusion across Africa. This campaign, by bringing together various partners and communities, underscores MTN’s commitment to creating a connected and financially inclusive future.

As the campaign progresses, MTN Uganda will continue to hand out more than 100 return air tickets to lucky winners, providing them with unforgettable experiences in destinations around the world via Uganda Airlines. The campaign’s theme, “Together we are unstoppable,” resonates strongly with MTN’s vision of unity and collaboration across nations, industries, and communities.

Sharifah Nakirya an employee with Universal Multipurpose enterprises, a real estate company got into the draw to win a ticket thanks to her clients who pay using international remittance services. She will be travelling to Mumbai courtesy of MTN MoMo and Uganda Airlines.
