Greater Mpigi PLU Coordinator Hon Witonze Hails M7, Fighters for Sacrifices Made to Liberate Uganda

 

Ugandan Diplomat and Chief Coordinator of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) in Greater Mpigi Hon Juma Witonze has described Uganda’s President and other freedom fighters as a great liberators of the region’s history who made a lot of sacrifices to ensure peace and security reigns not only in Uganda but the entire African continent.

Witonze , the director of Rojn Global Investment , an International law expert and former contender in Gomba East Parliamentary race told reporters on Sunday morning that as Uganda continues to grow and change, national Heroes Day should remind everyone the values that unite us as a nation.

‘’By honoring our heroes, we renew our commitment to building a better future for all Ugandans. Their legacy reminds us that no challenge is too big if we work together with courage and determination. Our heroes inspire us to dream big and make a difference in our communities. On National Heroes Day, we celebrate not only the past but also the future. We encourage young people to be brave, compassionate, and determined, just like our heroes were’’, said Witonze who has always combed support for the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party and President Museveni and currently among those advocating that to consolidate Uganda’s achievements , Gen.Muhoozi Kainerugaba should replace Gen.Museveni.

Witonze also boosted the celebrations in greater Mpigi and around Gomba as he donated various items to women groups, fueled boda bodas and cars to promote the heroes day theme of; “Hail our legends: A Secure Uganda Is Now a Reality’’.

Witonze added that this is a historical day on which we reflect on the contributions of our heroes and heroines in the political and socio-economic transformation of Uganda and the occasion serves as a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by countless individuals to secure Uganda’s future.

‘’Gomba District was a key stronghold, where Uganda Freedom Movement and FEDEMU fighters bravely joined forces with the NRA. This emotional acknowledgement pays homage to the brave souls who fought valiantly for Uganda’s liberation’’, he noted.

Witonze says National Heroes Day isn’t just about looking back; it should be  about learning from our heroes’ stories.He says in schools all over Uganda, students should  take part in activities to understand the struggles and triumphs of our because by learning our past we can appreciate where we come from and make our country even better in the future.

Witonze , whom stakeholders have requested to return on the ballot come 2026 over his determination to empower youth , women and development groups in Gomba as well as his high lobbying capacity , joined Ugandans at Mpenja Church of Uganda Primary School playgrounds, Mpenja Sub-county, Gomba District where President  Museveni  presided over the event celebrate the  patriotic and resilient Ugandans who joined the struggle of liberating Uganda and those that have continued to add value on their country.
