The Global Tondism Faith leader (Ssaabakabona) Dr. Jjajja Jjumba Lubowa Aligaweesa has asked the Uganda Communications Commission’s (UCC) to expedite the process of granting their faith a broadcasting license for both the Television and Radio Channels branded ‘Ennono’.
Addressing the media shortly after the Saturday prayers at the Tondism Faith Secretariat in Kirowooza Mukono, near Uganda’s Capital Kampala, Dr.Jjumba said it’s high time Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni intervenes in guaranteeing approval of their license for ‘Ennono Broadcasting Services’ that will see the viewers able to watch and listen to their doctrine, broadcast affairs of the faith, among other religious values.
‘’ The Tondism faith is a restored traditional religion with a record of Millions of years from the creation account. In Uganda, it was the first religion to be exercised and practiced by all people irrespective of their tribes, culture and social back-ground. The very faith dominated the African continent and this formed the traditional values, norms, heritage and identity. Foreign religions were all built on grounds to manipulate the global human race more especially the African society. We are therefore not against anyone but we are reawakening our people about the true faith ‘’, said Ssaabakabona Dr. Jjajja Jjumba.
Licensing communication service providers stands as a fundamental pillar of the UCC responsibilities, as outlined in section 5(1) (b) of the Uganda Communications Act 2013. In the past, UCC has granted broadcasting licences to several faith-based television stations and Radios in the country, which Ssaabakabona Jjumba says it’s high time the Tondism Faith be considered for approval to broadcast as well.
Dr .Jjumba added that Tondism Faith is a restored traditional religion with a record of Millions of years from the creation account and in Uganda; it was the first religion to be exercised and practiced by all people irrespective of their tribes, culture and social background
‘’The mission of western religion was to strengthen their political and economic motives to tame African hostility and independence. In Africa before foreign religions came, the Roy-al Geographical Society and the IBEACo were used to penetrate the mantle of African rich cultures as they advanced towards political, economic and mental domination. They carried the soul that African cultures were satanic, backward, and primitive, that theirs was the salvation for the Global human society. It was on this background that countries were politically partitioned, cultures defamed, African religion and understanding of their God was corrupted and instituted it with their colonial and political religions’’, added Dr.Jjumba.
He also castigated other religions and faiths that described their faith to have many small gods which he said is just diversionary from the African faith by the colonialists.
‘’ We have many bonafide and supernatural spiritual powers but these are NOT gods as it is a similar case for the Christians many of them pray through the intercession of the blessed virgin Mary, Jesus, Saints and Angels but these are not small gods these are supernatural spirits who are God’s messengers and servants. Godliness is also manifested in human bodies, animals, plants and all living creatures’’, Jjumba noted.
He said many Africans are religious because they don’t want to be in the minority and renounce what the majority upholds. They don’t want to denounce what the state or society reveres. Many Africans are religious because they just want to play along.
‘’And so Tondism faith through this set of doctrines and conduct is here to restore this fundamental right of the freedom to natural conscience where people are free to believe in their natural and traditional religious theology rather than the enforced theology based on foreign dogmatic principles and to work towards the termination of foreign religious influence and the related consequences on the African and the black human race. Tondism is here to restore and defend the African native race of their freedom of natural conscience’’, further noted Jjumba.
