Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the senior presidential advisor on Special Operations has together with Team Chairman Boss Toyota Nuwagira , and other Rwandan and Ugandan officials laid a foundation stone for the construction of the Museveni-Kagame Market at the border point.
At the special event held at Katuna, where he was welcomed by Chairman Toyota and the locals of the border districts of Kabale and Gicumbi of Rwanda, the General was joined by the Rwandan delegation.
Later, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba proceeded to Kigezi High School Lower Grounds in Kabale town to grace the Rukundo Egumeho Thanksgiving Concert.
The events were organized by Team Chairman MK Project to celebrate the reopening of the Uganda-Rwanda border and it coincides with the birthday week of Gen Kainerugaba.
The senior presidential advisor also visited Hills 100.4 FM on his way to Katuna-Gatuna Border.
Chairman Toyota said the market will not only enhance the trade relations between Uganda and Rwanda ,but also boost the East African community trade successes.
Gen. Kainerguaba arrived in Kabale on Tuesday and was received by the 2nd Division Commander Maj Gen Bob Ogiki, Toyota Nuwagira and other area leaders.
The former Land Forces commander also commissioned a Water Ambulance at Lake Bunyonyi 8km from Kabale town earlier on Tuesday. Locals said this will help save lives, especially those of mothers and their unborn babies.
